The lowdown on this big procedure.

My decision to make my breast augmentation surgery public on my podcast & blog is solely to help others considering going through a similar procedure. I wish I had something like this before I underwent surgery, as there is so much info and many hard decisions to make throughout the process! In no way am I trying to convince anyone out there to get surgery. You are perfectly beautiful the way you are. I was happy before I got this surgery and I didn’t get it because I thought it would magically fix the struggles I have in my life. Surgery is a big deal, so think long and hard before deciding on changing your body.

Do Your Research

I was a research-aholic before I got my boobs done. There is so much information you need to learn before making any decisions regarding the actual implants, the size, the incision point, and of course, your surgeon. I was obsessed with researching this procedure before I got it done. I watched all of the YouTube vlogs, read all of the forums, and spent countless hours on the phone with friends that have gotten them done. When I eventually chose my surgeon, Dr. Olivier Branford from The Cadogan Clinic, he was also so helpful with teaching me everything I needed to know about the operation. It’s so important to find a surgeon who just gets you and understands what kind of look you’re going for. I decided on Dr. Branford because A) the before and after photos of his other patients that got this procedure were similar to what I wanted (natural and teardrop), and B) because we totally clicked when it came to what my end goal was. Dr. Branford was so attentive and confident in what he could offer me, so much so that I booked in after our first consultation! I had only gone to two consultations and he was BY FAR the better choice. I first walked in to his office knowing exactly what I wanted, and although he gave me advice and we worked together on the end decision, the entire time I felt like I was in control and I wasn’t being pressured at all. Which is so important!

Get The 3D or 4D Scans

Guys, it’s 2018. If you aren’t looking for a clinic that offers 3D or 4D scans pre-operation, you’re doing it all wrong! The Cadogan Clinic has this awesome machine called the Crisalix and it basically scans your body and shows you what you would look like with implants. It’s like looking into a mirror, and it’s so cool. You can see the different CC sizes, the implant over or under the muscle, teardrop or round… and it’s a total saviour. I was so torn on sizes before my op, and having these scans helped me SO much. This is a must! It’s crazy that most people just put sizers in to their bras and try to guess what their boobs will look like. No thanks.

Plan Accordingly

This is major if you’re booking in your boob job. Recovery is for relaxing and taking it easy. You really want to diminish all stress before going in to your op, so make sure everything on your to-do list is complete before surgery day. Also get a good friend or a family member to be there for you for at least 5 days after the operation. My mom flew into London for the week to help me out, and I literally don’t know what I would’ve done without her! It’s a must – don’t go through this alone!

I have so much more info for you regarding boob jobs. I’ve recorded two whole podcasts on the topic! Below are the two podcasts that I released, one solo ep about my pre and post op tips and my experience, and under that there’s the episode with Dr. Branford himself where I pick his brain about the procedure! Make sure to check out the rest of my top rated podcast on the podcast app (if you have an iPhone) or on Spotify. Also, feel free to slide into Olivier Branford’s DMs and ask him any Q’s you have, he’ll be the best of help I promise 🙂
