THE BOOKS & PODCASTS THAT HAVE CHANGED MY LIFE

Sharing my secrets

I’m going to share my biggest secret with you right now. I didn’t become the person I am today because of the innate motivation & desire & knowledge that has always been inside of me. Nope. I didn’t do this all alone. I haven’t completely transformed my life totally by myself. I was influenced. I was pushed, motivated, taught, and thrown into it by the books and podcasts that I feed my brain with every single day. So technically yes, in a way it was me pushing myself to consume this amazing knowledge. But no, I like to give credit to the incredible authors, teachers, and mentors that I have learnt from. So many of you ask me which are my top podcast and book recommendations for personal transformation, health, and success. So here they are.

BOOKS:

#1: The Success Principles by Jack Canfield. We’ve talked about this book before, and we’re going to talk about it again. It is a TOTAL game changer for anyone looking for an easy to understand, engaging book that will teach you the top theories of how to reach success.

#2: The 5am Club by Robin Sharma. This book is like the bible to me. When I read it I feel tingles everywhere and I want to become the best version of myself possible in that moment. I will read this book over and over again throughout my life – I’ll promise you that.

#3: Head Strong by Dave Asprey. This book will teach you how to utilize your brain so that your performance levels can peak to your highest potential. It’s a health-related book but I deffo recommend it for anyone feeling “blah”.

#4: The 5 Second Rule by Mel Robbins. It’s a practical self-development book that is so easy to read and understand. I love Mel Robbins!

#5: Ketotarian by Dr. Will Cole. If you follow this way of eating, you will live till you’re 100 years old. I swear to god. Healthiest diet out there is the Ketotarian way!

#6: Think & Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill. I got some slack in the media last year for posting a quote from this book. The quote insinuated that YOU are the only one in control of the outcome of your life. It said something like your mentality is the only thing holding you back. Let’s just say people in the U.K. aren’t generally big thinkers and self-believers… because this made the news! “Crazy Instagrammer girl thinks you can think yourself to wealth”… that’s literally what it said. Lol. Anyways, if you’re reading my The MIMIBEE Magazine you probably ARE a big thinker and you probably DO believe in yourself, because that’s just the whole vibe here. This is an incredible book that is a total staple for someone on a self-development journey. It’s a bit old school, but it is epic.

#7: High Performance Habits by Brendon Burchard. This one is really well written, and really clear & concise. It’s the back to the basics knowledge that will get you really motivated to perform at your highest potential.

#8: The Compound Effect by Darren Hardy. This one is epic. If you have more of a mathematical brain, and less of a story-time creative brain, this one’s for you. This “compound effect” Hardy writes about can help you conquer any big goal you have in your life. From weight, to wealth. Deffo buy.

#9: Psycho-Cybernetics by Maxwell Maltz. My grandfather did very well in the property development business. He went broke and then got rich really quickly. He told me he blames all of his success on this book. It’s a lil bit outdated, but it is an essential one. I bought it for Ben and he LOVES it, too. It’s all about self-image and how it’s the number one thing hindering your success.


PODCASTS:

#1: The Almost 30 Podcast. I recently interviewed the hosts Krista & Lindsey, and it made me love them even more. Their podcast is all about the transitions between your 20s and your 30s, and it’s really spiritual, uplifting, and inspiring. I love this podcast!

#2: The Rock Your Bod Pod. My best friend/holistic nutritionist Stella (you may know her from my podcast!) has recently started this incredible podcast with her friend Emma. It’s all about body love, confidence & health. It’s a real feel-good podcast – I highly recommend checking it out!

#3: The Skinny Confidential Him & Her Podcast. This is a classic! I didn’t love it at first, but now I really do. Lauryn and Michael are really great hosts and they have epic guests on. I love how they talk about sex and relationships so openly! They are a no-BS couple and v entertaining.

#4: Bulletproof Radio. Health geeks this is for you. I love everything Dave Asprey does – he is amazing. His podcast is really informative and it’s so calming to listen to. I feel like I’m in a science class when I listen to it and I’ve actually learnt so much. Dave is a biohacker and the founder of the Bulletproof brand. Aka Bulletproof coffee. Aka LIFE.

#5: The¬†MIMIBEE¬†Podcast. Probably the best podcast in the entire world. Not because it’s mine or anything, it just is. Hehe. But really, if you are into completely revolutionising your days by listening to my inspiring, motivating, & uplifting content, go right ahead. I interview uber successful guests and go deep into what it takes to become the best version of yourself possible in every way.
